THE INCARNATION OF CHRIST IN YOU

GOSPEL POWER

A feature of personal evangelism and the power attending the Outreach of preachers like Reinhard Bonnke is the genuine healing and casting out of demons that attends the efforts of the team.

SIGNS
These miracles are a sign. A sign that Jesus is real and among us and more. Their purpose is to point to the reality that is Christ. The reality that in Jesus our separation from God has been undone and we are home. We are one with Father and living in oneness with God.

FULL GOSPEL
Signs and miracles are not an end in themselves. Practiced separately from the new covenant and independent of the incarnation, they by themselves are not the Kingdom of God.

HALF TRUTHS
There is a small difference between the words ‘lie and life’. But a universe of effect. The Enemy is happy to have us practice ‘almost truth’ so long as he can inhibit us from the entire truth that is the Great Healing – the undoing of our Adamic separation and the securing of our union with God.
THE LIVING WAY
The incarnation – Christ in us has a greater function than an enablement to heal as Jesus did. Sure this is one effect but it is not the main one. At-one-ment is the main achievement. We are talking our reconciliation with God.
The purpose of the incarnation is to indwell Believers with the fullness of God – to make our being the home of the trinity so that we absorb their quality of life and become the expression of God. Heaven invades earth because God has become woven into our being. We have this life and this life is the life of men, women, marriages, families, the biosphere, the environment and the earth.
We have been made one with God by Jesus Christ.
WHAT THE TRINITY MEANS
Writing of our relationship with God Baxter Kruger observes, “
The doctrine of the Trinity means that relationship, that fellowship, that togetherness and sharing, that self-giving and other-centeredness are not afterthoughts with God, but the deepest truth about the being of God.
The Father is not consumed with Himself; He loves the Son and the Spirit. And the Son is not riddled with narcissism; he loves his Father and the Spirit. And the Spirit is not preoccupied with himself and his own glory; the Spirit loves the Father and the Son. Giving, not taking; other-centeredness, not self-centeredness; sharing, not hoarding are what fire the rockets of God and lie at the very center of God’s existence as Father, Son and Spirit.”
This is the life that grows in us when Christ is our life.
